my original healthy recipes for a positive lifestyle

about gretaeats

gretaeats is my way of sharing a focus on healthy lifestyles through movement, positive thinking, and, mostly, improved nutrition with family, friends, and anyone that is passionate about wellness.

Food is fuel for our bodies. When we care about what we eat, we care for our bodies.

I have been happy living in Boston since the summer of 2020 and have obtained my Bachelor of Science in Nursing through an accelerated program at the Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of Health Professions. Through my Pre-Med Bachelor of Science degree at the College of William & Mary, I focused my study on cardiovascular and human physiology and the science of nutrition. During both of these programs, I have chosen to study the science of nutrition and physiology extensively in order to support evidence based health care.

Over the next few years, I will continue my pursuit of nutrition and positive lifestyle changes to support wellness in the capacity of a Oncology Registered Nurse at Dana Farber Cancer Institute while I pursue my nurse practitioner degree.

Cooking delicious food isn’t just about nutrition, it’s also creative expression and an act of generosity. I love that sharing a healthy meal becomes an event. Sitting at a table, sharing a bottle of wine, lighting a candle, and enjoying time together with healthy food and intentional conversation. Cooking homemade healthy food is generosity of time, effort, and thought. For yourself when eating alone, or for someone special when you are eating together, it’s a gesture of kindness, care, and love.
